Emotional Root Causes of Hyperthyroidism

By now you know that there is always a “biological” reason why disease happens and that it all starts with a “perceived” trauma, which is recorded on the brain. This is how the emotional root causes that we are learning about are created. In the last blog article, we discussed how hypothyroidism ties to conflicts associated with Time, more specifically trying to slow down time. With hypothyroidism, you thyroid starts to slow down because the brain is telling it to slow down in order to help you survive. In this article, we’re going to talk about hyperthyroidism: the condition when your thyroid speeds up. It is similar in that its root conflict also tied to time, but in this case it’s a conflict of quickness as opposed to slowness. What is Hyperthyroidism? There are several different types of hyperthyroidism, but the most common kind is caused overproduction of thyroid hormone by the entire thyroid gland. Another type is caused by nodules or lumps in the thyroid that increase their activity so that the output of thyroid hormone into the blood is higher than it should be. People also may temporarily have symptoms of hyperthyroidism if they have thyroiditis, which is

Emotional Root Causes of Hypothyroidism

There is always a “biological” reason why disease happens. It all starts with a “perceived” trauma, which is recorded on the brain. The type of trauma experienced will determine where on the brain it is recorded and which organ, gland or tissue is involved. This is what we are referring to when we talk about emotional root causes. Your brain is always trying to help you to resolve these conflicts and traumas but if they are not resolved, then your body will continue to be affected until the trauma is resolved. During this conflicted phase, your tissue is either breaking down or building a mass and you will not have physical symptoms. It’s not until we finally resolve the underlying conflict or trauma that we experience disease. Once we resolve the issue, your tissue needs to repair and this is the time you experience symptoms. When my clients are experiencing symptoms of some sort, I usually ask,”What did you just resolve?” It’s fascinating because there’s always a correlation between the physical symptoms and the resolved trauma. Since fatigue and unpredictable energy levels are something that a lot of my clients struggle with, I thought we would address Emotional Root Causes

Understanding Laterality in Emotional Root Causes of Disease

The rules of laterality matter when searching for the emotional Root Causes of disease. So what the heck is “laterality” anyway? Laterality refers to whether you are naturally right hand or left hand dominant and believe it or not, your laterality can help us to figure out details concerning your illness. It’s important to know that in this instance, laterality doesn’t always equal “handedness.” You can always teach yourself to eat with your left hand or your right hand. Laterality has more to do with whether our brain responds to a biological conflict with the left hemisphere or the right hemisphere. According to German New Medicine, this is determined at birth. The reason this is important is that our laterality determines which side of the body will respond to and be affected by traumas or emotional conflicts. Our laterality will determine which body side (left or right) will respond to the conflict. For example, the Autonomic Brain of the Right Brained person will record trauma in this way: Right side of the body represents conflicts or traumas associated with your father, partner or your work Left side of the body represents conflicts and traumas associated with your mother, children, siblings

Which Emotional Conflicts Trigger Common Diseases?

Every disease has an emotional conflict tied to it. I recently asked members of my private Facebook group, Root Cause Warriors for Health, to name a disease so I could then explain what the emotional trigger is. I got tons of great questions and feedback, so I wanted to share that information with you. How Emotional Conflicts Trigger Disease The Autonomic Brain is in charge of your survival and is always looking for a biological way to keep you alive, especially when you experience a trauma or conflict. When we experience trauma, whether it’s real, imaginary or virtual, our brain records this experience. Sometimes we resolve the conflict and sometimes we do not. The brain will try to help you to resolve this conflict but if it is not resolved, your brain will carry it for you for years. When things are unresolved, your brain sends a message to your organ or tissue  to either break down or build up a mass. Again, the automatic brain does this for your survival. The brain is trying to support the body and survive during the conflict. There are a couple of things that can happen following a conflict. Illness can show up

Top 5 Reasons You Are Feeling Foggy, Fat & Fatigued: Toxins & Infections

Toxins & Infections Only when you remove the source of your toxicity can you begin to get, and stay, healthy. The toxins responsible for infecting your body can be found inside your home, in your environment, in the food you eat and in the products you use. All kinds of chemicals can compromise your wellbeing, keep you from feeling your best, and make you more susceptible to chronic illness. Cleaning Products The chemicals used in the majority of cleaning products are protected by trade secret laws… which means companies don’t have to disclose all ingredients. A lot of cleaning products use ingredients that are carcinogenic or neurotoxic. Look out for these ingredients in your cleaning products: Formaldehyde, Ethylbenzene, Petroleum Distillates, Chlorine, Benzene, Butyl Cellosolve, Phenol Check labels and purchase cleaning products devoid of any of these chemicals. I also recommend using natural cleaners. My favorite is Thieves Household Cleaner from Young Living. You can find it here and purchase it wholesale by creating a membership. Environmental Toxins Houses are sealed from the outside, so it’s easy for toxins to get trapped inside. AC units can start growing mold when they’re shut off, because condensation builds up and creates a perfect

Top 5 Reasons You Are Feeling Foggy, Fat & Fatigued: Hormonal Chaos

Hormonal Chaos Hormones are responsible for sending messages throughout the body to all organs, determining things like mood, appetite, energy levels, and more. Hormones are all connected… so if one is out of balance, it negatively affects the others as well. Hypothyroidism/Hashimoto’s “The thyroid is one of the glands that make up the endocrine system. The glands of the endocrine system produce and store hormones and release them into the bloodstream. The hormones then travel through the body and direct the activity of the body’s cells.” – the National Institute of Health. Hormones produced by the thyroid gland — triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) — have an enormous impact on your health, affecting all aspects of your metabolism. Hypothyroidism is a condition in which your thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough of certain important hormones. The most common cause of hypothyroidism is Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune disorder. Hashimoto’s happens when the thyroid is being attacked by it’s own immune system. Thyroid dysfunction happens at the cellular level, and as such, it needs to be addressed at the cellular level. You can read my first Foggy, Fat and Fatigued blog here to learn about cellular inflammation and healing. If you have Hashimoto’s

Top 5 Reasons You Are Feeling Foggy, Fat & Fatigued: Dietary Habits

Dietary Habits Eating Too Many Processed & Fast Foods This is one of the most common problems in our society! Eating whole foods rather than what’s easiest to grab off the shelf requires some habit change, but trust me, it is worth it if you truly want to feel and look your best. Eating too many processed foods is also a factor in the development of food sensitivities and allergies. Leaky Gut Caused by GMO’s, Food Sensitivities/Allergies When your gut is doing its job properly, it acts as a tightly woven net that keeps anything that might damage your system OUT. Leaky gut is exactly what it sounds like! When you have leaky gut, your digestive system is TOO permeable and lets unhealthy things through. Food sensitivities and allergies are a huge sign that you likely have leaky gut. Proteins likes gluten, bacteria and undigested food particles—even toxic waste—can pass through and cause negative reactions. A poor diet of inflammatory foods like bad fats, sugar and toxins is one cause of leaky gut. Eating These 3 Inflammatory Foods: Bad Fats, Sugar, Toxins What I consider bad fats are man-made fats like hydrogenated oils, margarine and trans fats. These types of
